thinking has been active in the field of digital applications and marketing services since 2009, having developed activity in the provision of know-how and the development of digital services, with an emphasis on b2b support of publishing houses for their transition to the digital age. The main direction of the company is the development of high-tech services that support the products and marketing of its customers with innovative solutions and innovative applications for all digital platforms and modern means of communication as well as the commercial exploitation of content. The company has invested in the research and development of solutions based on the use of open technologies for marking and documenting texts and in exploiting the research results for their application in innovative fields of digital publishing.

Π.Ν. Σάκκουλας

Η Π.Ν. Σάκκουλας αποτελεί έναν από τους πιο παραδοσιακούς και αξιόπιστους εκδοτικούς οίκους της χώρας με εξειδίκευση στις νομικές εκδόσεις. The company has invested in digital infrastructures and services, participating in the Digicontent program (ESPA 2007-2013), in the context of which a large part of the catalog was digitized and digital services were created for its customers to access the content through ebooks, e-subscription services and mobile apps . P.N. Sakkoulas invests in the codification of the content of its publications and their archiving with modern methods and has automated the process of writing and editing its legal journals (Criminal Chronicles and Private Law Chronicles) using the storage of their content in a database that supports the digital access process through subscription services. At the same time, it is interested in further developing its techniques for documenting and organizing its content with digital media and expanding its publishing activities into other subject areas in order to expand its customer base. In this direction, it is oriented towards the creation and distribution of a catalog of digital editions with access/subscription services through the internet (book-in-browser) and the strengthening of its editorial team with executives who have skills in electronic semantic coding and documentation of book content .

EL/LAK

The Open Technologies Organization (EL/LAK) was founded in 2008, today it consists of 30 Universities, Research Centers and non-profit organizations. The main objective of the Open Technologies Organization is to contribute to openness and in particular to the promotion and development of Open Standards, Free Software, Open Content, Open Data and Open Architecture Technologies in the field of education, the public sector and businesses in Greece, while at the same time aspiring to be a knowledge center and dialogue platform for open technologies. Among the organizations that participate in the Open Technologies Organization are the most Greek Universities and Research Centers.

ΕΠΙΣΕΥ

In the context of this research, we collaborated with the Research University Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (IRISE) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (SEMMY) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). More specifically, EPÍSEY helped us install, configure and train the SAGE tool developed by the Artificial Intelligence and Learning Systems laboratory. SAGE was used in the present study to enrich the metadata using natural language processing and artificial intelligence technologies.
